Pain hit all over again.
Reels about mothers & daughters hit differently when you have just lost your mother.
My beautiful, brave & resilient mother passed away yesterday.
It feels like a part of the connection that has held me to this world has been severed.

अभी कुछ दिनों पहले मैं अपने गांव गया !!

वहाँ मेरे गाँव के स्कूल में 15 अगस्त का कार्यक्रम था जिसमे मुझे मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में आमंत्रित किया गया,

मैंने अपना कृतव्य निभाया वहाँ मैंने अपने भाषण में बच्चो को शिक्षा के प्रति प्रोत्साहित करने की कोशिश की,

और गाँव वालो से भी कहा कि आप इस पर ध्यान दें कि आपका बच्चा समय पर स्कूल आए और अपनी पढ़ाई का पूरा ध्यान रखें !

गाँव वालों को मेरी बातें अच्छी लगी तो शाम के वक्त गाँव की चौपाल में जब गाँव वाले बैठे थे मैं भी चला गया बातों बातों में राजस्थान में होने वाले सरपंचों के चुनाव की बात चल पड़ी कि इस बार किसको चुनाव लड़ना चाहिए !!

क्योंकि पहले वाला सरपंच दो बार से चुनाव जीता हुआ है लेकिन उसने सिवाय अपनी जेब भरने के और कोई काम नहीं किया है तो वहाँ बैठे एक ताऊ जी ने मेरी ओर देखा !!

और कहा “ बेटा इस बार का चुनाव तुम क्यों नहीं लड़ लेते हो” ? जबकि उन्हें पता है कि मैं गाँव में बहुत कम रहता हूँ तो मैंने ऐसे ही हल्के अंदाज़ में कहा !!

“ नहीं नहीं ताऊ जी मैं नहीं बस आप गाँव के ही किसी अच्छे आदमी को लड़वा दो हम सब साथ हैं” मेरे इतना कहते ही सब बोल पड़े कि देखो अगर तुम चुनाव लड़ते हो तो हमारे गाँव को एक मजबूत दावेदार मिल जाएगा !!

क्योंकि तुम्हें बोलना भी अच्छा आता है और जानकारी भी अच्छी है !! मैं उस समय उनकी बातो को हँसी में टाल कर घर आ गया लेकिन अब मेरे दिमाग़ में कुछ चल रहा !!

आप लोग मुझे राय दीजिए कि मुझे क्या करना चाहिए और अगर मैं चुनाव लड़ू तो मेरे मुद्दे क्या होने चाहिए !
प्लीज आप लोगो की राय मेरे लिए बहुत ज़रूरी है !!

It's been almost a year since my father Air Commodore MK Chandrasekhar, VM, VSM passed.

In line with the Malayalam calendar, my family and I will spend the next two days in reflection and prayers in his memory.

His memory reminds me every day of the legacy of duty, discipline, and patriotism he left behind as an #AirWarrior.

He was more than a father to me - he was my guide, my inspiration, and the foundation of my values.

Everyday was sweat, pain, exhaustion, heat, rain, long hours on the road and many moments when stopping would have been the easier choice.

Some days my body was strong. Some days it wasn’t. Some days I ran with confidence and some days I simply told myself to just keep moving.

But every single day added another kilometres to the challenge.

From the shores of Kanyakumari to the mighty Karakoram, I crossed states, cities, highways, mountains and my own limits.

86 days. 5,000 kilometres.

Looking at these numbers now, I realise that this Run was never about one big moment.

It was about thousands of small decisions to not give up.
