Happy to share the news of publication of our recent study describing a new genus and species of snake from Himalayas. The new species is named as dicaprioi after @LeoDiCaprio for his philanthropic work regarding awareness about global climate change and biodiversity loss.
The @MFS_NCBS is hosting a workshop on squamate taxonomy that aims to skill participants in identifying lizards & snakes based on morphological features. It also touches upon the topics of phylogeny, biogeography and species discovery.
