Theory: govt websites look the way they do because their devs don't have Claude Code๐.
I ran the experiment. Took UPPCL's SMART prepaid meter portal(https://t.co/8CDVwBY8s7) (used by 37M+ people in UP) and rebuilt it over a weekend.
Here's how it went ๐
If you have a UPPCL SMART prepaid meter: try it, tell me what breaks.
If you work at any govt IT org: and wants to discuss more. DMs open (bijli aane se pehle reply aa jayega ๐)

Deployed alongside my Pi-hole on a @Raspberry_Pi Zero 2 W. Caddy on :1912 โ UPPCL's own helpline number, because why not๐๐
My meter analytics now run on less electricity than the meter measures ๐
Reverse-engineering it solo? Nah. My claude code limit is still left ๐. Me + ClaudeCode + 4 HAR captures + 6 hours. Mapped all 23 endpoints and shipped a typed FastAPI proxy
Since morning, I was playing with @stitchbygoogle.
Typed one prompt โ got a gorgeous Material-3 dashboard back in 30 seconds.

Half-joking thought hit: what if I justโฆ replaced the frontend?
Only problem: I don't have the backend data.๐ง

Started with a boring task:
Recharge my meter. UPPCL's app & portal give you exactly two things โ a balance number and a recharge button. No runway forecast. No "when does my โน2000 actually run out?". Functional, yes. Informative, no.
Built a tool to report traffic violations in India ๐ฎ๐ณ
See someone breaking rules? Take a photo + add location - report it in seconds.

Every report instantly appears on a live map.
Cool to see vortix listed on @terminaltrove alongside other great terminal tools.๐
Built this because I needed a simple way to manage VPN.
If you're a terminal person who uses VPNs, give it a try:

Just shipped Vortix โ a terminal UI for WireGuard & OpenVPN.
Why I built it:
1. I love TUIs
2. I juggle multiple VPN profiles
3. GUI app take up too much space. Terminal apps are lightweight.
All the features I need, zero bloat.
macOS only for now (uses ifconfig, netstat, wg, ps).
Linux support coming.
