My personal opinion: IMAX is overhyped.

If a movie is engaging and interesting, it doesn't matter whether you watch it in IMAX, PCX, or a single-screen theatre. When you walk out of the theatre, you'll remember the movie, not the type of screen you watched it on. In fact, you'll probably forget which format you're watching within the first 5 minutes.

The only things that really matter are good sound quality and a bright 4k screen that's enough. If the sound isn't good, that can be a major problem.

BTW, I've watched almost 10 movies in IMAX, but any day I would choose Kadapa Apsara Theatre over any IMAX screen.
