CPS treated this as stirring up racial hatred against a group defined by nationality.

Targeted far-right protesters — overwhelmingly native British by nationality.

CPS did not treat it as stirring up hatred against a group defined by nationality.

Found not guilty after trial.

If Lucy’s words qualified as hate crime without naming a race, then so do Ricky’s.
Either apply the same law to all nationalities — or admit the system is picking and choosing who it prosecutes.

🔹 Granted bail before trial.
🔹 Found not guilty by jury after 30 minutes.

Public reaction: If violent speech is a crime for one, it should be a crime for all, regardless of the group being targeted or the politics involved.
