The Lib Dem’s are debating yet again letting men in women’s single sex spaces. Single sex spaces like toilets, changing rooms and hospital wards are there to keep women safe.

With a few honourable exceptions it seems the left simply cannot get their heads around biological sex.

Let me be clear.

It’s because most rational people can see that protecting women’s hard-won rights is progressive, not socially conservative at all. In fact, it’s gender identity ideology that’s regressive eg the bizarre idea that anyone not conforming to sex stereotypes must be the opposite sex.

See also: commercial surrogacy. It's just weird for Labour politicians to argue "because you can travel to do this in country X we must legislate to enable it to be done in the UK as a matter of socioeconomic equality". It's a terrible argument.

Babies are not goods to be ordered.

Pregnant women are not factories.

Such an important question. You cannot adopt a baby from Nigeria, but you can buy a baby from Nigeria through surrogacy.

This is wrong. A universal ban on surrogacy is the only way forward to protect the rights of women and children.

Not everything has to be looked at through the lens of discrimination.

Conservatives managed to choose our first woman leader 51 years ago. Meanwhile Labour are celebrating Andy Burnham as their first female Prime Minister.

Claire has been promoted because she is excellent and Conservatives believe in meritocracy.

If Harriet is worried about discrimination, there is plenty in her own party to keep her busy.

Boris Johnson promoted me to the Treasury while I was on maternity leave in 2020. Nobody did a podcast episode on it because we didn’t think it was remarkable. He just knew I could do the job.

Women do not need patronising theories to explain their success. That is the point.

As I was waiting for the train to go to Manchester Pride I got talking to an a woman who was also going. She’s influencer doing a thing for HBO and will be on one of the floats. All paid for. She’s married to a man.

We got on well, I gently introduced JK a Rowling into the convo and how I thought her and Dolly would’ve been able to have a real good convo and how they would have a lot of respect for each other

She was a bit surprise when I said I was very much on JKR’s side when it comes to sex V gender, but she was happy to keep asking

We boarded the train together, but she was travelling first class. I helped her zip up her dress which was very tricky and sounded like a skit as we both went “Yes! Yes!” when I finally got it all the way up (no pun intended!!! 😆)

Then we said our goodbyes and I found a seat in second class

And it struck me how a straight woman backed by a huge brand will be dancing on a float at Pride, while I’m a gay man who feels nervous about showing my face because I won’t sell out homosexuality
