T-72B3M, model 2024/25—call it what you will. The tank underwent modernization at the 61st Tank Repair Plant in St. Petersburg; to the right stands an identical tank awaiting its side armor plates.
The photos were taken in mid-July 2025.
The T-80U tank features reinforced armor, with reactive armor mounted on the driver’s and gunner’s hatches. To further enhance protection, the driver’s hatch has been redesigned to be rectangular. Behind this tank stands an identical LKZ-series tank in poorer condition.
@T_90AK + by Resolution No. 237-5 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 8 February 2000, the 478DU9 was adopted into service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the designation ‘T-84’. Not the "Oplot-M" or "BM Oplot" and more..
@T_90AK In the NSU documents on the operation of BTTs and their service life in particular, where the T-84 tank is specifically mentioned on several occasions. The prototype vehicles (does not include 478DU9) were not referred to as T-84s in the documentation.
@T_90AK There is actually a few of T-80UD in Kharkov institute. As well a few of them experimental machines, as T-80UD for Pakistani trails in 1995 i think.
