Sports Day is finally here and the field is looking amazing! Don't forget to pick up your free tea and coffee from the duck after drop off, thanks to our brilliant Friends of Hartsbourne!
Work has finished on our giant sandpit. My suggestion that we turn it into a relaxing spa pool for the office staff seems to be going nowhere and so we're on the hunt for 10 tonnes of play sand! If anyone has any contacts who could help us source it then please let us know π€
Preparations for the Summer Fair are well under way thanks to our parent volunteers. You'll be relieved to know that the inflatables have under gone a thorough testing process, thanks to the pupil health and safety team πππ

Yesterday a group of our Year 5 children had great fun performing at the Bushey Acoustic Festival. We just wanted to say a huge thank you to the festival organisers for letting us be a part of it, and to Mr Stevenson and Mrs Harte for making it happen. The children were amazingπ
This time last week the fabulous Friends of Hartsbourne were getting all set up for their Spring Trail. It was a great event and they raised Β£120 ! A huge thank you to the organisers and to you for taking part π
We were so incredibly impressed with Emma's half term project! She's created a board, a dice, forfeit cards, question cards etc. and it's extremely playable. Brilliant work π (photo in boat because we're travelling Around the World π)
We just wanted to say a huge thank you to the Friends of Hartsbourne for arranging Easter eggs for the children, 30 of which were kindly donated by Tesco! These will be coming home with your children today π
Our Year 6 class headed off to PGL yesterday and the school is definitely quieter without them π They've all settled in brilliantly and had a great first night.
Yesterday we were delighted to welcome Seema from @Tesco Watford, who have very kindly donated Β£500.00 to our school library fund and also a large amount of games for the children. Thank you so much for thinking of us!
D.E.A.R (Drop Everything And Read) is taking place throughout the day, and despite giving the staff a few heart attacks when the alarm sounds, it's so far been a great success π
World Book Day is off to a fabulous start this morning! The costumes are incredible, and the children really enjoyed showing them off in the parade π
Don't forget tomorrow is World Book Day and we have LOTS of exciting events planned. We're looking forward to seeing everyone dressed up as their favourite characters, or if they don't have one then they're more than welcome to wear their best bedtime story attire (pyjamas π )
Incredibly exciting times in Year 5 as they reach the point in their Puppet Project where their puppets, the sets and props have all been made. They've all worked really hard and I'm sure you'll agree have produced some amazing puppets
We had an incredibly excited Evie come and visit Mrs Harte and the school office today. She had written out ALL of her numbers from 1 to 100, and reliably informed us that her work could also be used as a skipping rope or for limbo π Fabulous work Evie!
We've had some amazing Story Jars in already, and are so excited about the Story Jar Gallery that we have planned π Don't forget if your child has made one, or is going to, then they need to bring them in by World Book Day (Thursday 3rd March)
