For the first time since 2019, I am unemployed. I lost my previous job due to the company losing funds and no longer being able to pay me. This is extremely difficult to process because for years I’ve worked multiple jobs while dealing with chronic illness just to sustain myself. So being jobless rn is like losing a whole identity. 😭

For Full Transparency, I have a condition called hEDS (Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) it’s a connective tissue disorder, which means the tissue that is supposed to support my joints, muscles, skin, and other parts of my body does not function the way it should.

A lot of people experience hypermobility and often don’t have any symptoms, but I unfortunately deal with a plethora of them. For me, it means joint instability, chronic pain, fatigue, muscle weakness, frequent flares, and my body struggling to do basic things without consequences. I have a lot of issues with my back as well from this: Scoliosis, herniated discs, tarlov’s cyst, and pelvic nerve pain.

And because connective tissue is everywhere, it affects more than my joints. I also deal with a lot of GI issues and dysautonomia which means my nervous system struggles to regulate itself.

Essentially, you can say I LOST THE health lottery and I’ve been majorly debuffed. It’s emotionally exhausting and financially.

I’ve been taking freelance gigs while I search for employment, but it’s not really enough to cover the cost of all my bills. My phone and Internet bill will be cut off soon (I’m two months behind) which is not great because all my work is done from home so I won’t be able to do any at all.

Between these bills and trying to cover my medical expenses for infusions, doctor appts, and groceries, it’s been really stressful.

NORMALLY, my dad helps cover my expenses. However, he forgot (he’s old) to pay the rent last month so he used his entire check to pay last month + this month’s rent, which was about 2k. So this month is going to be really difficult for us.

I’m putting my Cashapp & Ko-Fi below if anyone would like to help me cover some of my expenses for this month. (if you prefer a different way pls dm me)

Of course, NOBODY is obligated to donate. We live in a very difficult time right now and a lot of people are trying to figure things out.
