On Sunday, we recognized one of our members, Meka Stanley, who has exemplified our Savior by serving our church in many capacities, and especially through service on our finance team. We are thankful for all that she has done to help us as a church be good stewards of our money.

Jesus was kind and compassionate, and He did much during his ministry to alleviate the suffering and physical needs of those around Him. But physical mercy was not His primary mission and ministry. He was sent by the Father to deliver His chosen people from their sins!

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
You can’t earn your salvation! Jesus earned it on the cross for all who trust him! #letsgrow @edjohnson3rd

God commands us to be gracious to our brothers and sisters in Christ, not just when they don't sin against us, but all the time. The weight of sin that we have committed against God has been forgiven us, so we can surely be expected to show grace to others in the body of Christ!

God calls us to accept one another even with our differences, not reject one another or seek only the company of those who share all the same opinions as yourself, because this is exactly what Jesus has done for us! #WeAreFamily

How differently would we treat our work, our family, our coworkers, strangers, our time, if we knew death was around the corner? The truth is, we don't know when it is coming, but it comes for everyone. Our time is limited, and we need to use it wisely!

In this life we see godly people experiencing hardship and the wicked enjoying abundance. How do we make sense of this? We can take comfort knowing that regardless of our circumstances, God's purpose for it all is for the sanctification of His people! #ecclesiastes

At Harvest Cultivate, our singles can learn about navigating all the relationships they will encounter in life from a godly perspective and with biblical wisdom and for God's glory! God, thank you for our singles!

When we become aware of the deep corruption and depravity of our own hearts and how short we fall of God's standard of holiness, the mercy and grace that He extends to us becomes truly precious. The more precious God's mercy becomes to us, the more mercy we will extend to others.

If you never experience any inclination to show mercy to anyone who has wronged you, it is likely because you have never truly come before God in repentance and received His mercy. Our sin is so egregious and His mercy so great that we should be transformed when we encounter it!

We can often feel as though God is far off or that He has abandoned us in our time of trouble. But God is good and sovereign. It may not look how we want it to look, but God will ALWAYS act for His glory and for the good of His people!
