How much more grubby can Australian politics get?
Australians have every right to question who gets taxpayer money.
But when Helen Haines questioned Albanese’s community sports grants, his office circulated a dirt sheet attacking her integrity. It’s despicable.
And the Liberals play the same grubby game.
In August, The Australian newspaper identified two “dirt unit” researchers working in Angus Taylor’s office.
And a Labor strategist was recently quoted about having dirt sheets on One Nation, saying: “We’ve got a lot on One Nation … But unlike the Liberals we’re holding it back.”
A Labor MP was reported last month saying: “Throwing shit at them risks making them more popular.”
Read that again. This is how they talk about attacking their opponents behind closed doors.
They can’t defend their records. They can’t sell their policies. So they feed dirt to the media and trash reputations.
The major parties have taken turns running our country into the ground. Australians are struggling to pay their bills while the major parties use taxpayer-funded staff to shovel dirt.
Australians deserve politicians focused on their lives, their families and their futures.
Instead, they get an incompetent, dishonest government and an opposition playing the same dirty games.
Our country deserves better.
This is Judge Ian Darling. He let Afghan migrant Abdul Barkeeh Salihi walk free from court after he was convicted of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
He was fined just £400.
Abdul's address was given as a taxpayer funder asylum hotel in Oxford.
Should he be detained and deported?
To the leftists scrambling to defend Albanese: this wasn’t a normal dirt sheet.
It was a calculated revenge attack, timed to send a clear message to the crossbench — criticise the misuse of taxpayers’ money and we will come after you.
Shut up or else.
This was a deliberate attempt to intimidate Members of Parliament, to interfere with their duties, and to silence scrutiny of government spending.
And such conduct is a Contempt of the Parliament - a specific violation of s49 of the Australian Constitution - and for which people have been imprisoned for.
Labour can’t be trusted, here or anywhere.
From soft-pedalling Manchester City’s financial rule breaches to claiming Russian interference in Brexit without releasing the evidence, the pattern is the same.
Father Calvin Robinson makes a good point. Just look what they’ve done to Western civilisation in such a short space of time. Imagine how much worse things are going to be in another 20 years.
Albanese has 59 personal advisors who get between 200k and 450k per year. Their super is 15.4 percent while everyone not connected to these thieves is 12 percent. Most of em get 25k car allowance each year. They get super on that too. What for? They also racked up 3.4 million in travel expenses last year. Why? There job is at Parliament House. When they get moved on, they get massive redundancy payout, and can start working another job in parliament the next day. It’s just theft of taxpayer money, but the only ones who get hunted down are the brave souls trying to make an honest living in Australia, who get smashed by ridiculous taxes to pay the parasites.
Albanese today said if you steal taxpayer money and get caught, you just pay it back and get on with your day. We have to change the way we are governed. Not one Federal MP has ever spent a second in prison for stealing taxpayer money since federation.
@therealdon68541 The UK government trying to breakdown the relationship between Trump and Putin, if the police didn’t turn up and spoil this false flag operation things could have gone another way.
