On the anniversary of 2001’s sad events, heartfelt condolences to those who lost loved ones, heartfelt thanks to the SEC Staff who performed heroically to get our Nation’s financial markets back up and running!!
9/11 2001 was a terrible day in our collective history. Here’s a shoutout to wonderful SEC women & men who worked tirelessly and heroically to get our markets back up and running. Here’s wishing families who lost loved ones peace from those terrible events. We must never forget!
Here's a shout-out to Howard U. Medicine. Saree and I received our first Covid-19 shots there yesterday, and everyone was fantastic. Please help support a real DC resource!!
Saree and I were friends with Ruth & Marty Ginsburg, and enjoyed dinner with them and the Scalias! C. Scalia's written a great article on Justices Scalia & Ginsburg's remarkable friendship, a lesson for all about tolerating opposing views:

RBG's passing lost us a dear friend, unique person and valued public servant. 4 decades ago, she married my girlfriend and me, a decree still full of vitality! To liberals & conservatives, she set a standard, and made a huge difference, for us all. She'll be sorely missed.
Almost 20 years ago, I was privileged to work alongside the brave, bright and creative women and men of the SEC in restoring our financial markets to full effectiveness. To each of you, I extend my sincere gratitude and deep respect on this special day!
Some flicks to watch while hunkered down: Stalag 17, Some Like it Hot, Avanti, Irma La Douce, The Apartment, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, The Producers (original, non-musical), Intolerable Cruelty, Rashomon,
Sadly, my first SEC "boss," Paul Gonson, passed away last night. Paul was remarkarkable--smart, funny and kind to a fault. He'll be sorely missed, but I'm blessed to have known him so well, for so long!
Sadly, Judge Kevin Thomas Duffy has passed. The Judge was a former administrator of the SEC's NY Regional Office, an outstanding jurist, and a friend. He'll be sorely missed. His NYT obit can be found here: https://t.co/iCnp4pOcq6 .
I'm saddened by the loss of my dear friend for over 50 years, and a great American, Judge Stanley Sporkin. Stan was beacon of integrity, enlightenment and creativity. He will be sorely missed, but his memory will live on forever!
