think i should say a quick greeting
hi, im harvey! films are my passion and i intend to post reviews here and discuss films and i intend to be a film journalist!
anyone who is also passionate about films, feel free to interact with me, thank you!
@BadFilmTakes1 I do genuinely think he’s one of the most polarising and divisive filmmakers out there. It baffles me that the same guy made both Ready Player One and E.T.
Completely respectable though
@andy_gieselman if that’s your thoughts then fair enough, art is subjective and i respect your thoughts but i think you’re engaging with the film in a rather reductive way.
also hating on it in over 10 different posts is insane did spielburg hurt you personally are you ok man??? best wishes
@artwithinpod I do think the "reddit millenial jokes" criticism is a little silly, but there is one line where I literally repulsed which was "Up is down, left is right, xenon's a solid, aliens are real, I'm wrong about everything and everything is wrong!"

@NikkoCaruso Going from this flawless and emotional karaoke scene into some incredible visuals was the most lovely fever dream possible. God, Hüller added so much to this character!!!

@sethsfilmreview I don’t know if it’s just me but the colour grading felt really inconsistent. Like sometimes it’s pretty good but then other times it’s horrible, but maybe I’m being silly
@shadowknightdk An incredibly stacked 2026 too; off the top of my head, Disclosure Day + Michael? Might be missing some more, I’m super excited to see his work this year I think he’s so impressive!
@Srirachachau It’s so upsetting. Requiem for a Dream has some really compelling visuals to it imo and builds a harrowing and outright scary atmosphere with its visuals in such an effective way, so to see him stoop to slop is really disappointing
@diandrasdiandra Paul's casting is visually perfect, and I really think this is the type of role Mescal can deliver on! I'm genuinely of the opinion that in 50 years or so, we'll look back on Mescal as one of the true greats of the industry, super excited for this!
