Glory be to the Lord that He gave us repentance! Through repentance we shall all, every one of us, be saved. Only those who refuse to repent will not find salvation, and therein I see their despair, and shed abundant tears of pity for them. They have not known through the Holy Spirit how great is God’s mercy.
St Silouan the Athonite
“The Greeks [Orthodox] . . . are not heretics or schismatics but the most Christian people and the best followers of the Gospel on earth.”

At Nicaea the Church was saved from the error of Arius by a council of 318 bishops.
In Gen 14, Abraham rescues Lot with 318 fighters against an alliance of four kings.
Don't run ahead of God. Let Him guide your steps. He has His own plans. He has His own time. God's clock is never in a hurry, and it is never late. They always go on time...
Don't be discouraged, God has more concern for your salvation than you do.
St. Joseph of Optina
Do not complain, my child. If God had forgotten you or stopped being merciful, you wouldn't even be alive. You only fail to see His kindness because you’re focused on what you want. But God knows what is actually best for you. Always pray for deliverance from sorrows and sins, but always end your prayer by saying: 'Lord, let Your will be done, not mine.'

From St Paisios on Spiritual Progress
"Spiritual “progress” comes slowly and usually does not look the way we think it should. There are three stages of spiritual growth. St. Paisios said,
In the first stage, God gives out caramels and chocolates because He sees the need and the weakness of the soul. (Passions and Virtues, St. Paisios of Mount Athos Spiritual Counsels Vol. 5.)
That means that when we begin, we see everything as fresh and exciting. The services are sweet, prayer feels good, and everything seems beautiful. This is sort of a spiritual honeymoon.
In the second stage, God slightly removes His Grace for training purposes, so that we can realize that without God’s help, we cannot accomplish even the least…The more one advances, the more he is able to detect his weaknesses and his imperfections.
So, ironically, the second stage of progress is becoming acutely aware of our own shortcomings. Progress is to see how much one is steeped in sin. A person who thinks he is progressing because he feels like he really has his life together has fallen into prideful delusion. Most of us will spend a significant portion of our lives in this second stage. Severe dry periods are sometimes called “the dark night of the soul.” It is nothing to fear, but let us keep walking.
The third stage is a permanent and steadfast good spiritual state.
May God grant us this! It is important that we be patient and reject the temptations of hopelessness, despair, and delusion. God is with us and it is He that makes us progress. With faith, we can walk along with Him and slowly begin to actually realize his dwelling in our hearts, in the inner man."
This is an absolute scandal.
Serbian football team Crvena Zvezda has been fined €95,500 after fans choreographed a motif of Jesus Christ!
UEFA fined them for "displaying a message not fit for a sporting event and bringing the reputation of football and UEFA itself into disrepute".
The image was a traditional Orthodox tifo of Jesus Christ or Saint Simeone the Myrrh-flowing, while the text underneath read:
“May our faith lead you to victory".
UEFA has stopped games for Ramadan and openly promoted BLM and LGBT campaigns during tournaments.
But Christianity is ‘inappropriate’?!
What an utter disgrace.
🚨WATCH: Serbian patriots just sent a clear message to the EU!
"We dont need your degenerate values, mass migration, or endless wars."
"Our only choice is Orthodoxy, and our only leader is Christ - Kosovo is Serbia."
“We suffer because we have no humility and we do not love our brother. From love of our brother comes the love of God. People do not learn humility, and because of their pride cannot receive the Grace of the Holy Spirit, and therefore the whole world suffers.”
“When God wants to have Mercy on someone, He inspires someone else to Pray for him, and He helps in this Prayer.”
Saint Silouan the Athonite
You don’t perform on 6 hours sleep.
One of the most important sleep studies ever ran a brutally simple test.
People slept 4h, 6h, or 8h per night for 14 days. No all-nighters. Just “normal” short sleep.
Cognitive performance was tested every two hours.
By day 14:
6 hours = same impairment as being awake for 24 hours.
4 hours = same as 48 hours awake.
But here’s the scary part – after day 3–4, people stopped feeling more tired.
Reaction times kept slowing, attention lapses kept increasing, working memory kept degrading.
But subjective sleepiness flatlined.
Your brain keeps getting worse, your ability to notice it breaks.
This is why chronic undersleeping feels sustainable – you adapt to feeling tired but you do not adapt to being cognitively impaired.
The participants would’ve told you they felt “okay”. Objectively, they were functioning like they’d pulled an all-nighter.
If you’re sleeping 6 hours and think you’re fine, you’ve probably lost calibration.
Sleep need is biological. Most adults need 7–9 hours.
“I only need 6” usually means “I forgot what normal feels like.”
Feeling fine is not evidence you’re functioning well.
Chronic sleep loss doesn’t just impair your brain – it blinds you to the impairment.
