🎥Immigrants carry their cultures with them wherever they go. Music is a powerful factor of social interaction. In the final video from our #MediainTandem series, we explore the relationship between #music and #migration, through a series of interviews: https://t.co/AxJwByBBxY
📢 Our third video, #Youth is out!
🎥In this interview, Osama Alhoid, a dentistry student who fled to #Turkey from #Syria in 2011, describes how the ideals of #optimism, #empathy, and #tolerance give way to mutual understanding and acceptance: https://t.co/R3O77u2vX8
#Refugees
We are pleased to release the first of a series of four short #films, that tells the story of Muhammad, a young #Syrian boy in Gaziantep, Turkey, with a passion for chess: https://t.co/Cq586V7OD3 (3/3)
📢Over the last 6 months, we collaborated with @KirkayakKultur and @PeaceJourn to train 20 Turkish and migrant journalists in various aspects of #PeaceJournalism. At the end of the training participants formed multicultural groups to film joint #media projects (1/n)
💡The videos that came out of this project strive to not only humanize Turkey's #displaced communities but also to identify the systemic obstacles that need to be dismantled to improve both locals and migrants' quality of life. To learn more, visit: https://t.co/eon04D9O2C
