لقد لعبْت في بطولات كبرى. أعرف كم من المال والضغط يقف خلف كل قرار الآن. لكن كرة القدم كانت لها إيقاع وروح تأتي من عدم اليقين. لم تكن تعرف أبدًا ما الذي سيأتي بعد ذلك. عندما يبدأ حماية المصالح التجارية وإبقاء النجوم على الملعب في تجاوز حوادث البطاقات الحمراء الواضحة، تتآكل تلك الروح قليلاً أكثر.

You’ve got Villa and Newcastle absolutely huge clubs and arguably on a par with Spurs, playing in Europe regularly not able to spend, but Spurs can finish x2 17th and spend what they want.

To some people, it’s just a draw.

But after everything this team has been through, it felt like a victory.

Traveling from Mexico to the USA just to play, then having to make the long trip back home. Carrying the weight of politics, pressure, and years of tension with the USA, yet still finding a way to focus on football.

They went behind once and fought back. They went behind again and fought back again.
