@vlaamse@londyloo That's good to hear there's a period of support for US immigrants. I myself didn't have any formal supports as a new Canadian so I had to figure things out through trial and error with my family. Non-immigrants need to learn why this is a huge barrier to becoming a physician.
@londyloo Interviewed a DM2 patient while in med school that lived on $15/wk for groceries. Of course needed help from food banks. Interestingly, she did not want money from the government because she's against government interfering in people's lives. Oh Alberta. Lol
