Bugün; Trabzon’dan Kahire’ye, İskenderiye’den Londra’ya, dünyanın farklı şehirlerinde aynı heyecanın paylaşıldığını görmek bizim için büyük bir mutluluk ve gurur kaynağı. Bizim için futbol hiçbir zaman yalnızca iki takım arasında oynanan bir oyun olmadı. Bazen iki şehri birbirine bağlayan ortak bir duygu oldu. Bazen iki kültürü birbirine yaklaştırdı. Bazen de binlerce kilometrelik mesafeleri ortadan kaldırdı. Trabzon ise binlerce yıllık tarihi, Karadeniz’in eşsiz doğası, kendine özgü kültürü ve futbolun günlük hayatın ayrılmaz bir parçası olduğu atmosferiyle eşi benzeri olmayan bir spor şehridir.
