Building decentralized markets for Bitcoin hashrate derivatives.

Hashprice is influenced by #Bitcoin price, network difficulty, transaction fees and total hashrate. That combination creates measurable volatility.

Derivatives give traders a way to price, hedge and take positions on future hashprice conditions.

Hashrate, difficulty, fees, subsidy and #hashprice describe different parts of that underlying system.

Those variables interact continuously, creating a market structure that extends well beyond spot BTC.

[HPDX @HashPowerDEX]

Bitcoin mining revenue includes transaction fees alongside the block subsidy.

Periods of elevated fee activity can change expected hashprice even as the broader #BTC narrative stays relatively stable.

[HPDX @HashPowerDEX]

@BTCTuschen Exactly! Hashprice is what really matters for miners 👍

[HPDX @HashPowerDEX]

BTC price sits at the center of the #Bitcoin market, while hashprice reflects a broader set of mining economics.

Network difficulty, transaction fees and the block subsidy can shift expected hashrate revenue alongside changes in BTC.

[HPDX @HashPowerDEX]

Bitcoin's difficulty adjustment changes the amount of work required to compete for the network's rewards.

A change in difficulty therefore alters the expected output associated with a unit of hashrate, which has a direct impact on its value.

[HPDX @HashPowerDEX]

Hashprice translates a unit of hashrate into an expected stream of economic output over time.

That gives the market a benchmark that can be monitored alongside the variables driving it.

[HPDX @HashPowerDEX]

Bitcoin #hashrate has a flow-based economic profile because its output accrues continuously over time.

Electricity provides a useful example because its value depends on timing, capacity, demand and delivery.

[HPDX @HashPowerDEX]

Hashrate measures the computational work being deployed to secure Bitcoin and compete for its rewards.

At sufficient scale, that capacity starts to look like an economic input with its own supply, demand and revenue dynamics. All it needs now is its own market.

Derivatives give traders a way to isolate a particular source of risk and express a view over a defined period.

That precision becomes valuable when the underlying contains several independent drivers.

[HPDX @HashPowerDEX]

For years, one of Bitcoin's most valuable commodities has been remarkably illiquid.

That is about to change. The market is coming on-chain.

Stay tuned.
