Lamar’s greatest asset (and there are A LOT of them) is that no play ever feels dead. That man will Houdini himself out of a 6 man rush, buy time making another 2 all world LBs grasp at air and then unleash a rope 40 yards downfield hitting his man in the numbers. He’s unreal.
I don’t know if any current or future NFL Hall of Fame player will ever have as bad of jersey luck as Myles Garrett. Man went from wearing a Browns jersey for the majority of his career to the IKEA reusable grocery bag LA Rams jersey. Legendary run of dog shit uniforms.
I tiered QBs based on who I'd want to start a franchise with RIGHT NOW.
Contract value, age, & opportunity cost are all factors.
E.g., Drake Maye is the most valuable QB. Josh Allen might even be a little better, but Maye is YOUNG & CHEAP. And probably better.
Explanations👇
People on Ravens twitter really upset they didn’t draft a TE2 or EDGE3/4 for their team when they literally don’t have interior Oline play capable of blocking people on twitter. Not saying Sadiq or Bain won’t be good players but I’ll take the Olineman thank you. Trenches win.
Carnell Tate at 4 is crazy. Not that crazy that he’s a Titan, but I would’ve thought they could’ve traded back to 8 or 9 and still got him. But that’s probably why I’m not an NFL scout.
RB at 3 is kind of crazy but I also kind of fuck with it. RBs have become underrated recently when they are still the 2nd most important skill position (sorry to my oline brothers) in terms of making plays happen by themselves, or when the play breaks down.
God please not a TE at 14. Actual malpractice. Real true franchise derailing decision taking TE at 14. I can not over state this, first rd TEs struggle big time ESPECIALLY tweeners who aren’t big enough to play in line and block.
Let Harbaugh think he’s playing chess. So what if he snatches the OG from Penn St. You’re telling me there is 1 worthwhile interior olineman in this entire draft? That’s horseshit. Let him have the guard, the Giants will ruin him in 3 seasons anyways ala Will Hernandez.
If IF they go WR, which I don’t think they should. I think it comes down to Lemon (another sub 6’ somehow slower than he should be slot guy), Tate (always a WR2 based on having elite players opposite at OSU) or Boston (jump ball go Brrrr but otherwise not much). Not promising.
I’d really love an interior Dlineman but I feel like they’re all projected 3rd rd guys and 14 is far too much to invest for someone you could get in the 70s. I honestly don’t think they address edge rushers until late. They like their guys.
I could also see Mansour the CB being the pick because you can never have enough DBs and Marlon is on his way out. Safety is an insane move, but Downs somehow falling and teaming up with Hamilton and Starks on the back end would be bonkers.
If they go TE I might actually vomit. If they go WR I will probably also vomit. If they go RB I will double vomit. The only offensive players in the running for 14 should be Olinemen.
I am also so SO out on Fano. I don’t want an undersized, short armed, underwhelming strength guy at 14. Sure he MIGHT end up being okay, but to me he is the equivalent of drafting Pat Mekhari at 14 and that’s an insane premise.
