@marcogiberti@LinkedIn I wonder, as per your write up, what would — if there is one — be a quantifiable argument for event companies to do things what a builder must be doing? If the event companies are already profitable.
@tojulius My story: can’t find time between conversations, though I like to sit for a good panel/presentation. But I remember selling conference passes where people would just come — mostly — for content.
@Rahul_J_Mathur True. I agree with you. Though, from where I see the VB article reframes a somewhat misinterpreted statistic into a meaningful narrative about employee-driven AI adoption and it raises critical points about how organizations can (and should) respond.
@tojulius I think, it will be no longer about only negotiations, more about how to diversify supply chains to avoid similar situations in the future. We will be able to witness this reset at trade fairs in the short to medium term.
@tojulius Yes, you make very interesting observations. Just to add 1) attractive destinations can be magnet for conferences, but trade fairs need markets and industries 2) Dubai and Singapore knowing their market limitations have (successfully) positioned themselves as regional hubs.
