הגשת התביעה הזו דווקא בניו יורק, היא הוכחה לצורך בשינוי חקיקתי שיבטל את ההתיישנות לתביעות השבה לנכסים שנבזזו בשואה. תביעה כזאת לא יכולה הייתה להיות מוגשת במדינת ישראל.

Others have rightfully thanked the many other players who protested against the sale. We would like to thank the Supreme Court of Israel for convening the parties at our behest and urging them to find a solution that did not involve any sales, as we petitioned.

Due to the Hashava Foundation's successful petition to Israel's Supreme Court, all the items from the collection of Jerusalem's Museum of Islamic Art due to be auctioned over a year ago have now finally returned to the museum.

Past Tuesday, @JusticeGov, @MCSgovil, and the Ministery of Social Equality headed by @cohen_meirav , introduced, a new team dedicated to the promotion of #provenance research and #restitution of NaziLootedCulturalProperty in #Israel. A solution is desperately needed in Israel.

Indeed, that is incorrect to assume that these items are untraceable. The names of lift van owners is known; one should hypothesize for now that their lift vans went to Neuwied after their seizure in Belgium and Holland.
