Thoughts in the time of #COVID resurgence:
1. When discussing vaccines with those still deliberating, #shameaintit.
2. Got symptoms? Get tested. Got exposed? Get tested. Don’t talk yourself out of it.
3. OTC tests are easy. I say buy one BEFORE you need it.

Me, in GYN clinic: are you vaccinated against COVID?
Pt: no, idk if I should, some of my family says I should but some tell me not to, idk what to do
Me: it’s safe and effective, and it will help protect your little kids too
Pt: ok can I get it now?
KEEP ASKING PEOPLE.
So, I have been trying to meet my patients where they are in terms of vaccination, especially with the rising concern of variants. What strategies have been effective when the patient says “TikTok is telling me it’s dangerous?” I feel very helpless to respond #medtwitter#Vaccine
Anyone looking to live on Mud Island in Memphis? Neighbors are perfectly quiet. We have a 3 bedroom we are looking to help find a tenant for so we can potentially get out of a lease! Please spread the word!!
@AmyLaskyMD 👏I cannot believe this controversy! If there’s a medical reason weight is req. a informed discussion is appropriate. Healthy lifestyle recs are the same no matter your size. It’s about ED heath/awareness - a deadly disease with disastrous consequences. Denying this is useless.
The 30% of Americans unwilling to get vaccinated might not trust the government—but they may listen to someone they know or follow online.
I wrote about a grassroots network of doctor and scientist moms working to dispel vaccine misinformation

Happy Groundhog Day! Instead of being sad about 6 more weeks Of winter, keep in mind Punxsutawney ditched his shadow last year and declared early Spring. Which apparently just meant COVID. So maybe it’s for the best 💐
Punxsutawney Phil, the famous Pennsylvania groundhog, delivered his annual prognostication on Tuesday morning: There will, he says, be six more weeks of winter. https://t.co/CB0imMQt7J
Wellness half days on ambulatory week have become a highlight of my month IM months. Thanks @UTHSC_Medicine! Just spent my morning on the most joyful run ❤️
Things I am now overly excited about on a Sunday off:
1. Our new vacuum
2. A new Golden Girls puzzle.
Not sure if I can blame the pandemic on this one.
