🇲🇲 BREAKING: A #Myanmar military junta airstrike in Butalin Township, Sagaing Region, reportedly killed at least 10 civilians.
Amid a worsening fuel crisis affecting people across Myanmar, the military junta continues its airstrikes against civilians.

I am devastated and horrified by this tragedy. ICE killed Nurul Amin Shah Alam, a nearly blind refugee, by leaving him to freeze to death on a cold winter night on a Buffalo street without contacting his family or his lawyer. They're cruelty knows no bounds and this is why ICE must be abolished.
#Rohingya refugees are dying at sea again. Early this month, a boat carrying about 70 Rohingya people sank near the maritime border of #Thailand and #Malaysia. At least 21 bodies have been recovered; many were women and children. Just 13 survivors were rescued.
The vessel was one of three smaller boats that broke away from a larger “mother ship” that left #Myanmar’s Rakhine State with about 300 people on board. The other two boats, carrying roughly 230 people, are still missing — All of them risked their lives because there was no legal way to reach safety.

“While some Rohingya risk their lives at sea in search of safety, countless others seek refuge in Bangladesh, fleeing the severe oppression caused by the Arakan Army,” — my comment in this piece.

@john_hq3 called for the Arakan Army to hold their forces accountable for violations and allow international investigators and human rights monitors free and unfettered access to #Rakhine State.

In Teknaf Shalbagan Camp-26, a Rohingya mother gave birth to 5 healthy babies through normal delivery. This joyful moment brought hope and strength to the refugee community, reminding us that even in hardship, life and miracles continue. 💛👶👶👶👶👶 #Rohingya#Hope

The Rohingya community continues to endure suffering in Arakan.
Systematic oppression and fear remain part of daily life.
For us, the genocide has not truly ended.
The world must act, and justice must be served.
