The difference between ETH gas fees and new Solana fee market, is that when ETH gas fees (GWEI) are high it affects everyone (ex. hyped mint cause high fees to everyone). While new Solana model only limited and affects similar transactions. (ex. hyped mint only affect that mint)

What new is the implementation of QUIC for faster & stable transactions. In brief a solution against bots as a way to find valid transactions. Also we now have fee prioritization, It will be interesting to see how that will work out on #Solana
