After attempting to go up against Palantir's OS for the commercial enterprise, Microsoft, one of the OG operating system software producers, is no longer going to try and build its version of an AI operating system. Instead they're focusing on building their own frontier lab - going up against openAI and Anthropic.
Microsoft: "Weβre moving from OS and apps to agents instead"
Is there anyone else in the way of Palantir taking the whole market?

My take is that this really only occurs for relatively unknown companies.
The concept and understanding of this company is widespread and well understood. It's a rocket company that actually has functional reusable rockets. It's super cool and the revenue projections are easy to understand too. Data centers in space, internet connectivity around the world no matter where you are, and of course the Moonshot (or should I say, Mars-shot).
Last, most retail investors who are getting a shot at IPO are really only capable of buying hundreds of dollars. Which is a couple nights out on the town. Most intend to hold IMO.
I suspect it will go the same way Tesla went at IPO. The initial price was basically the lowest price investors could get. The price was generally up, but mostly choppy, for the next couple years before exploding higher.
@BIGdoodie82@Filmfanatics__ I know the feeling. It can be disappointing. You want to get a big feeling from the big screen. Makes me feel better about missing it lol
