Got the ball rolling on one of our next episodes - The History of Hastings United!
Do you know an interesting story from the club’s past? Any examples of the club being involved in the wider story of English football? Any surprising, quirky or fun facts/stories?
Get in touch!
@Josh0logy Great idea! There’s a chapter specifically about cricket at the end of Historic Hastings by Manwaring Baines. I’ve got one about HUFC in the works but like the idea of a cricket one.
Been a hectic month - but fear not my fellow local history buffs, there are three more episodes with guests now agreed and more ideas in the pipeline!
Aiming for two more episodes this year and have another lined up for mid 2023. If you have any suggestions - let me know 🎧

Great response so far to our new episode!
It features Steve Peak, a local historian who has written a book on the topic. The book goes into far more detail than is possible in a podcast - so if you enjoyed listening why not buy his book!
