Hastings Fish: Turbot
One of the more expensive fish. Turbot may be baked, grilled or poached.
Typically available to Hastings all year round, although not a common fish 🐟 https://t.co/t9EVrKCoYN

I absolutely love our #BoysAshore in #OldHastings Ward. Today, I collected a poster I won from #MickTheFish and purchased some fresh skate and flounders which I’ll be cooking for dinner. The passion for Hastings caught fish is so vital to our @Hastings_Fish local fishing fleet.
Plaice is landed at Hastings typically between May and October.
Chef Nick Hayles shows us how to choose and prepare this delicious flat fish, view the full video over on our website or Facebook Page.

@DebbieCGF @eastcoastavocet @fishisthedish @Hastings_Fish I’m on a waste not want not mission... bought fish home from @SeafoodSchool and @BillingsgateCoL yesterday... all has been minced, breaded or vac-packed for freezer and my family think I’m potty for drying the skin to make fish crisps for my pup! @MrsMc67 @DebbieCGF @eastcoastavocet @fishisthedish @Hastings_Fish@SeafoodSchool@BillingsgateCoL Hi I put trimmings or small fillets - shellfish - of any fish in a food processor- pulse on and off until finely chopped.. add aromatics: ginger, shallot, chilli, season. Shape into burgers or fish balls and bake/pan fry etc no need for egg or flour. Freeze too.
