I am truly honored and humbled by the incredible gift presented to me by the Lewis County agricultural community.

They gifted me a beautiful framed, hand-painted picture recognizing my contributions to Tennessee agriculture. The painting thoughtfully includes so many important parts of my life and career: our Century Farm, FFA, the Tennessee Farm Bureau, the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, my favorite John Deere tractor, and our family veterinary practice, Rock N Country Veterinary Services.

This painting tells a story of the people, values, and experiences that have shaped me, and I will treasure it for the rest of my life. It means more to me than words can adequately express.

I am deeply grateful to the Lewis County Ag community for this thoughtful and humbling gesture, and for their friendship, support, and commitment to Tennessee agriculture.

Had a wonderful time last night at the 75th annual Columbia Spring Jubilee, one of the best Tennessee Walking Horse shows in the state.
These horses were bred right here in Tennessee and they truly represent the very best of our equine heritage. From the proud breeders and trainers to the dedicated owners and riders, the Walking Horse community is one of our strongest rural traditions. They bring tourism, jobs, and a lot of pride to our communities.
I will always fight to protect our agricultural traditions, preserve open spaces, and support the families who keep this legendary breed thriving.
It was extra special having my granddaughter Charlie with me. She had a blast learning about the horses and the whole equine world. These are the moments that make it all worthwhile.
Tennessee Walking Horses are more than beautiful animals. They are a symbol of who we are as Tennesseans, hardworking and resilient.

I had a great time attending the Union City Rotary Club meeting in Obion County yesterday.

I especially appreciate UT System President Randy Boyd, who was the featured speaker, for his kind recognition. Randy has been a tremendous leader for Tennessee, and I am grateful for his friendship.

Thank you to the Rotary Club for the invitation and to everyone who came out. I enjoyed the opportunity to visit with community leaders, listen to Randy’s remarks, and share my vision for a stronger Tennessee with those in attendance.

Started out yesterday at Tosh Farms in Henry County.

It was a pleasure spending time with farmers, agricultural leaders, and supporters from across Northwest Tennessee discussing the issues that matter most to our rural communities. From rising input costs and workforce challenges to protecting family farms and strengthening our agricultural economy, these conversations are critical to the future of Tennessee agriculture.

I want to thank the Tosh family for their hospitality and everyone who came out to visit. I appreciate the opportunity to hear directly from the hardworking men and women who help feed, fuel, and clothe our nation.

On Tuesday, @SecWar visited @USCG HQ, the 1st such visit by a Secretary of War in our 236-year history. Alongside @SecMullinDHS, Secretary Hegseth spoke with our personnel regarding the Coast Guard’s impact within the Joint Force, unique authorities and capabilities, and historic operations in defense of America.

Enjoyed a great breakfast at Bucky’s this morning to start the day in Columbia. Grabbed lunch at Puckett’s and finished up with a fantastic supper at Jana’s Jumbo House tonight. Got to visit with a lot of good friends in between.
It was a full day on the trail talking to folks about the real challenges facing our families and small businesses right now. Rising costs are making it harder every day and we have got to do better in Washington.

Just spent the morning visiting local businesses here in Columbia.
I had some great conversations at Eastside Animal Hospital Veterinary Clinic, Best cleaners, Wire Masters , and finished my morning with a phenomenal meal at Pucketts. These are the kind of hardworking small businesses that are crucial to our Tennessee economy. As a fifth-generation farmer, veterinarian, and small business owner myself I understand the real challenges they face every day rising costs heavy regulations coming out of Washington and the struggle to keep things affordable.
That is exactly why I will always fight for small businesses in Congress. They are the backbone of our communities and our way of life here in Tennessee.
