The fastest way from point A to point B is a straight line. In a baseball swing it’s from where your hands start to getting barrel to ball as quick as possible. How would you cut down a tree with an axe? Not uppercutting. Use gravity and use science when hitting a baseball.

Enough of the slotting and losing your barrel stuff. Slotting and getting the barrel flat through the zone 2 early causes foul balls when your late and top spin when your early. Top hand should punch through the top inside half of the baseball.

Level through the upper part of the zone is the only way you can elevate 100mph in the upper third with true spin. An “upper cut” will never play at any level. Having elite hands also helps a little, lol.

Chin down
