Today we say farewell to our chicks who are off back to the farm this morning. The children have been so excited to explore the lifecycle from egg to chick.
It is tricky to spot.... but year 5 have started with frogs spawn and now have 2 frogs!
How exciting!
Well done Year 5. You have learnt so much a bout the life cycle.
On Monday we kicked started the week with Mill Cottage Farm.
All the children came out to meet these gorgeous animals and started the week with such a wonderful experience.
We have a fun filled day today, starting with an assembly from @DarrenHarrisGB the dual Paralympian! We are honoured to have you with us today and can’t wait for our class workshops in blind football. 🏅⚽️😀
One of our chicks sleeping in one our year 6 hands. Snuggled up.
We love that so many of our year 6 children keep coming down in their breaks to spend time with our chicks.
All chicks have hatched and are slowly moving into their new home with food and water.
The children and staff have been fascinated by the whole process. The buzz around the school has been wonderful.
We would like to thank the HSA for helping us organise this experience.
And we have our first chick... we can't wait for all the children to meet them tomorrow.
Unfortunately the camera shut down just after 8pm. We will try and rectify this tomorrow.
Our eggs have arrived and we couldn't be more excited!
They are due to hatch later this week.
We have 10 eggs in the incubator. They will be with us until next Friday.
All classes are due to spend time with them throughout their stay.
Thank you Living Eggs.
