Eric sat at the bar, dressed in casual wear, sipping at a strawberry daiquiri. It was good to not have a shift that night, and to take a small break from tailing the asset. He hummed, listening to the buzz of the TV when he spotted a familiar form.
@queenofreapers "Weird ass friends you keep, Flowers." What was with the pet names? He wasn't sure, really though he didn't entirely care. He shrugged at the bartender, who seemed to be bewildered as she watched Sasha walk off. "I'll.. get you the strong cocktail this time, Leatherneck." +
@queenofreapers Going in his weekly report to his bosses. But she didn't need to know that. "You want a refill on that drink?" he looked around, ah, a small group of bachelorettes in a corner. "Well I wouldn't wanna ruin anyone's night." The drink offer was genuine.
@queenofreapers "Scary." Eric retorted, granted he didn't doubt this woman was unhinged enough to do that. He sipped at his daiquiri, "Don't think Flowers would be psyched about that, seems more like a uh, not liking crossfire kind of gal, no? You are /fun/ to talk with though." This is so +
@queenofreapers "I keep an eye on her. Just as I would anybody else, even you. For instance if you want the best seat with a view of all exits, the corner booth in the back is your best bet. Back exit is easy to get to and the front of house is as visible as the sun."
"In case of a bar fight."
@queenofreapers He let out a sigh, "You know she goes out to that bar without ya sometimes, right? Less tense when she's with you. Less shaky about loud noises or someone coming up from behind her. Look, I don't know you girls, but I can see that she's been through... Something. So, yeah,+
@queenofreapers Yeah that piqued his interest. "Maybe, maybe not. Maybe I keep an eye on folks who don't start shit in the bar, or maybe her drink is easy to make." He rolled his shoulders back, "Plus she tips nicely."
@queenofreapers "I wouldn't say I'm sleazy," Eric let out a chuckle, by all means the man had been as professional a bartender he could be, which says a lot considering he's had to reprimand his own coworkers at times. But she mentioned the asset, Trish Dailey... Otherwise known as Lia Richmond+
@queenofreapers "Who says I want to take anyone home?" Eric retorted, taking another sip from his glass. "Sorry bout the glare, old habit." He was still used to the gas mask provided for his Blackwatch uniform, had to remember he couldn't always be pokerfaced. "I've made drinks for you, right?"
The bike courier, the man called the demon of empire city, 'Electric man'. He recognized him now, the text saying they'd had a strained relationship amidst the quarantine that would up almost fully resolving with them officially back together. Almost.
Hathaway pulled out the sturdy chair at the table, a folder stamped with Blackwatch and the NSA's insignias was sat down next to a carefully placed mug of coffee. Eric sat down with a sigh, thumbing open the folder to look at the pages within.
He'd read another page, just to brush up. The leather jacket wearing man was there again, his name redacted but Eric assumed that was a mistake. Little miss flowers had been in a relationship with a bike courier, "Really? Easy on the eyes sure... But a postman?", not just anyone.
