Ensuring National Security and strengthening our Borders is a top priority for our Government. In our commitment to securing the India-Bangladesh Border, we have expedited the land transfer process to the Border Security Force (BSF) for the construction of essential fencing.
As of today, a total of 1,024.75 acres of land spanning across 172.6 kms has been formally handed over for this purpose.
Below is the district-wise breakdown of the land transferred:-

Murshidabad: 45.4 kms - 337 acres

North 24 Parganas: 42.07 kms - 241.03 acres

Cooch Behar: 39.39 kms - 135.33 acres

Malda: 20.15 kms - 176.78 acres

Nadia: 14.79 kms - 95.11 acres

Dakshin Dinajpur: 7.75 kms - 26.41 acres

Darjeeling: 1.45 kms - 4.31 acres

Uttar Dinajpur: 1.28 kms - 6.61 acres

Jalpaiguri: 0.31 kms - 2.17 acres

TOTAL: 172.6 kms - 1,024.75 acres

West Bengal is ready to reclaim its place as one of India’s leading investment destinations.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari and a BJP government committed to transparent governance, policy stability and industry-friendly reforms, the state is poised to usher in a new era of growth, jobs and opportunity.

Major proposed and ongoing investments include:

• Lux Industries – ₹600 crore in Dankuni.
• Shyam Steel – ₹15,000 crore expansion at Mejia, Bankura.
• Fusion CX – ₹100 crore IT & ITeS campus, creating over 9,000 jobs.
• Larsen & Toubro (L&T) – ₹4,500 crore proposed AI Data Centre with the potential to generate 25,000 jobs.
• Berger Paints & Peerless – ₹1,600 crore real estate development.
• ITC Ltd. – ₹2,300 crore investment across manufacturing and business expansion.
• Amul – ₹650 crore to strengthen dairy infrastructure and processing.
• JSW Infrastructure – ₹832.25 crore investment in the Kolkata Dock System.
• Mitsubishi – Proposed semiconductor fabrication facility in Durgapur/Panagarh.
• Adani Group – Proposed Tajpur Deep Sea Port, along with a ₹2,500 crore Adani Arogya Mandir Super Speciality Hospital & Medical College.

Even without assigning values to the proposed Tajpur Deep Sea Port and Mitsubishi semiconductor fab, the pipeline already exceeds ₹28,000 crore in investments.

For too long, West Bengal had lost investment, industries and employment because of political violence, corruption and policy uncertainty. That chapter is coming to an end.

A BJP government under Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari will restore investor confidence, accelerate industrialisation, create lakhs of jobs and put Bengal back on the path to becoming India’s growth engine.

The era of fear and stagnation is ending. The era of investment, industry and employment is about to begin.

ব্রিটিশ শাসনেকালের অত্যাচার, শোষণ
ও অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে ১৮৫৫ সালের ৩০ জুন সিধু মুর্মু ও কানু মুর্মুর নেতৃত্বে হাজার হাজার জনজাতি মূলবাসীর ঐতিহাসিক সশস্ত্র গণঅভ্যুত্থান 'হুল বিদ্রোহ' ভারতীয় স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামের এক গৌরবোজ্জ্বল অধ্যায়। সেই আত্মত্যাগ ও সংগ্রামের স্মৃতিকে শ্রদ্ধার সঙ্গে স্মরণ করে প্রতিবছর ৩০ জুন 'হুল দিবস' পালন করা হয়।

আজকের এই পবিত্র দিনে সিধু মুর্মু ও কানু মুর্মুর মর্মর মূর্তি উন্মোচন করে মাল্যদান ও শ্রদ্ধা জ্ঞাপন করে মুকুটমণিপুরের একলব্য মডেল আবাসিক বিদ্যালয়ের মাঠে উপস্থিত হয়ে 'হুল বিদ্রোহের' বীর শহিদ ও স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামীদের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি নিবেদন করলাম।

এদিন এলাকার আদিবাসী সমাজের গুণীজন, শিল্পী, সাহিত্যিক, নাট্যকার এবং বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে কৃতিত্ব অর্জনকারী বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তিদের সম্মাননা প্রদান ও মনোজ্ঞ সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানে অংশগ্রহণ করতে পেরে আমি অত্যন্ত আনন্দিত।
উক্ত অনুষ্ঠানে আমার সাথে উপস্থিত ছিলেন আদিবাসী কল্যাণ মন্ত্রী শ্রী ক্ষুদিরাম টুডু, বন ও পরিবেশ দপ্তরের প্রতিমন্ত্রী শ্রী দিবাকর ঘরামি, সাংসদ শ্রী সৌমিত্র খাঁ ও শ্রী জ্যোতির্ময় সিং মাহাতো, একাধিক বিধায়কগণ ও প্রশাসনিক আধিকারিকরা।

হুলের চেতনা আমাদের অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে সংগ্রাম, আত্মমর্যাদা ও অধিকার রক্ষার প্রেরণা জোগাক। পরিশেষে, 'হুল দিবস' উপলক্ষে সকলকে জানাই আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা ও হুল জোহার।

Today I met 12 bright & young IAS Probationers of the 2025 West Bengal Cadre.
These young Officers are currently undergoing their training at the Netaji Subhas Administrative Training Institute (NSATI), after which they will head out for their crucial 1-year District Training to understand the grassroots reality of our state.
During our interaction, I was deeply heartened by their immense enthusiasm, energy and unyielding vigour to serve the people of West Bengal. I encouraged them to always keep the welfare of the common citizen at the center of their Administrative decisions and to work with absolute integrity, empathy and dedication.
The future of West Bengal’s Administration is in capable hands.
