Hussainji worked to rescue #wildlife in conflict situations in #Wayanad Wildlife #Sanctuary#Kerala and was killed on duty. He was dedicated,committed-but a temporary worker. He was the only wager earner & his family needs support. Do contribute, RT, amplify

Our headquarters and the force behind our work @NuxalbariTea harbours rare, endangered #wildlife like this beautiful #leopard . #Tea estates like ours can offer safe passage (and #sanctuary) to wildlife , providing connectivity between #forest fragments
Tea Estates are probably the only large, relatively undisturbed parcels of land left in India, besides forest reserves. With diminishing forests, wildlife increasingly find refuge in tea estates.1/2
“Hurry up, slow poke.”
“Coming… is it cold?”
“See for yourself.”
“You know I hate cold water.”
“Ya old grump, you don’t know what you’re missing.”
“Alright, alright I’m doing it, ok… hmm… not bad… boy…this… is…
niice.” @vivek4wild@HathiSathi@ParveenKaswan
In the north of #Chhattisgarh lies a forest I had only heard of in passing until recently. Hasdeo Aranya is one of the largest contiguous forest landscapes in India: dense tropical deciduous jungle spread over 170,000 undulating hectares.

Normalizing forest destruction as an easy, convenient alternative.
Forests are #priceless and what pray, is the 'net present value of the #elephants in that reserve which will be destroyed for research college.
I do not want no #education

New rescue. Great Egret, hit by a catapult despite our best efforts to stop hunting and trapping in our area. Broken wing. No vet. We have taped it to the best of our ability. Fingers crossed.
Elephant herds are now spending nights & even entire days here. Our elephant pool and streams provide ample water, there are plenty of trees and grasses for forage, and because they feel safe, some even lie down for a nap! #elephantconservation#coexistence#nuxalbaritea#itseasy

A small herd of 30+ elephants shelter at Section no.10. To ensure safe passage and that they are not disturbed we have developed elaborate security arrangements & divert pluckers to other sections to ensure there are no encounters or violence #peacefulcoexistence#asianelephant
