@crowan76@JamesSACorey Seveneves by Neal Stephenson is the obvious choice to me if you haven’t already read it. A book I kind of sort of want a sequel to but am also so happy with what it did give us in terms of story and world building.
I worked really hard this year to rediscover my love of reading after grad school broke it (a problem I’ve heard a lot of other folks have) but I read my yearly goal of 12 books so I’m going to punt on this question and instead write a thread on my books of the year (tomorrow)
@asher_elbein Cochineal as a historical dye literally came up in conversation a few days after I finished the story and I was delighted to explain why that had recently been on my mind.
So that was my 2022 in reading, thanks for following along if you did, and let me know if you read/enjoyed anything from my list above! This year I'm trying for 24 books instead of 12, but aiming for a 50/50 mix of prose and graphic novels. Fingers crossed! /end
