Stage invasion during the performance of "The Boy with the Arab Strap" by Belle & Sebastian at the Piece Hall in Halifax tonight.
I expect Hearts fans to now come on and cry about how it cost them the league.
If Keir Starmer does resign, history will look back on his reign and scratch its head as to why the hell he was so hated.
On paper, he's probably delivered more to working British people in such a short time than any PM for decades.
After inheriting an absolute mess: NHS waiting lists fallen. Worker's rights improved. Rail operators nationalised. Improved relations with EU and improved UK's global reputation. Removed non-dom tax status. Halved childcare costs. Boosted state pensions. Lowest homicide rate in 50 years. Lifted 550k children out of poverty. Immigration vastly reduced.
We are in the age of billionaire funded misinformation, whose sole purpose is to topple democratically elected leaders, and insert leadership that favours the wealthy elites over the working people. Looks like the game plan is working...
Zamiast walczyć przeciwko walczącym o wolność, wielu z nich przeszło na stronę powstańców i stanęło do walki ramię w ramię z Haitańczykami przeciwko wojskom francuskim. Po zwycięstwie rewolucji i ogłoszeniu niepodległości w 1804 roku, pierwszy przywódca Haiti – Jean-Jacques Dessalines – oddał Polakom wielki hołd. Przyznał im pełne obywatelstwo, a w konstytucji nazwał ich „Białymi Murzynami Europy”. Były to słowa najwyższego uznania i braterstwa w tamtych czasach.
Illan Meslier having a moment on his own on the Elland Road pitch before departing on a free transfer this summer.
A sad way for his time at the club to come to an end.

Incredible scenes at Bristol yesterday, as Gloucestershire opened with two nightwatchmen to protect Ben Charlesworth, who was on a king pair
Both of them got out and Charlesworth completed his king pair anyway
George Hill has already been part of one of the most famous afternoons in English cricket history, even if his name rarely appears in the headlines. As a substitute on that barmy August day at Headingley in 2019, he was the kid who ran to give Ben Stokes a bigger bat with England still 70 shy of victory. Stokes went on to make 135*, his replacement blade depositing Australian bowlers all over the ground.
That is the thing about Hill. He has been around moments without demanding the spotlight. Vice captain of England Under-19s at 2020 World Cup.
He turned up at Yorkshire as a teenager from Sedbergh School with decent hands & a willingness to do the dirty work. He found his way through Second XI, through a pandemic delayed debut in 2020, through opening the batting when his team needed stability, through a fractured toe that forced him to bat without bowling & nearly broke his spirit. He keeps finding ways to be useful even when the situation refuses to cooperate.
2025 season was when numbers finally caught up with his effort. 51 wickets at 16.73 average & 40.14 strike rate. Exactly 100 maidens from 341 overs. Economy of 2.5 that placed him among the most frugal seamers in Division One. With the bat, 420 runs at 22.10 with 4 fifties. He was candid about disappointment with his batting that summer, admitting that heavy bowling workloads made switching disciplines mentally draining.
This season, the balance is shifting. 14 wickets at 26 so far, but 182 runs at 30 average. His bat is warming up again while the ball remains a threat. At 25, he has already accumulated nearly 3000 runs at 30.6 & 144 wickets at 22.7. Those are not bits & pieces numbers. That is the profile of a genuine all-rounder, the kind England now searches for desperately.
His mid 70s to low 80s pace will always draw questions from those obsessed with speed guns. But bowlers have proved that control & nip can terrorize Test batting. Hill's 2.85 economy & 47.8 career strike rate suggest he belongs in that conversation.
