SPOILER ALERT !!!
You've no doubt seen the following posted on various Celtic X channels:
"There was a mystery at the time, a huge mystery...here was a star-blessed, iconic figure, who suddenly disappeared"
The more astute amongst you will have no doubt guessed that the film is about George Connelly whom, at his peak, was considered by many within the game to be a truly world class talent.
If you look closely, you can see the guys from Cosmic Cats Films record the tremendous reception he received during his half time appearance at the Celtic - St. Mirren tie in May 2024.
I'm sure the film will be a roaring success if the book George co-wrote with Bryan Cooney, namely "Celtic's Lost Legend - The George Connelly Story" is anything to go by.
Raging Bears show unusual restraint as the Sean "Maxi" McIlvenna RFB march past the "Quintessential" Rangers pub, the Louden Tavern, as part of the Martin "Doco" Doherty commemoration parade in Govan today.
I'm quite surprised that Robert Marshall, inn-keeper extraordinaire, didn't come rushing out and demand a fee for filming his premises, given his propensity for money grabbing. Who can forget him ripping off fellow Bears with his £55 fleg, commemorating Rangers' 2021 league title, which apparently cost £3 to produce.
There was quite a bit of a hoo-ha over Ederson appearing to allegedly snub Gundogan during his presentation at the Etihad after the Manchester City - Aston Villa game.
He literally hugged everyone in the guard of honour, apart from Ilkay.
Many put it down to the intense rivalry between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray - or they fact that they may have spent a few hours with each other before the presentation so there was no need for another greeting.
However, unlike other footage, this clip shows Gundogan's wife, Sara Arfaoui, not looking too happy at all about the situation.
It could have been that she was bored out of her brains...as was Pep...for the Farewell ceremony dragged on for over an hour.
Why not simply jump on a 60 or 61 and experience it in real life?
To all those Maryhillbillies who may have been upset by the comment...only kidding on...I grew up there and the area has experienced a remarkable transformation and regeneration since I was a wee boy - in the 2010s.
Fantastic loyalty shown by Partick Thistle fans who were still applauding their team 10 minutes after the final whistle had blown on the game against St Mirren, who ended the Jags' Premiership dreams for yet another season.
In fact, the Thistle fans and their ultras were superb throughout the 90 minutes, with a non-stop cacophony of noise which almost drowned out the equally impressive Saints ultras.
All in all, a great advert for Scottish football.
Emotions were running high at the Etihad today as Pep Guardiola, John Stones and Bernardo Silva all bade farewell to Manchester City after their game against Aston Villa.
Looks like the occasion got the better of Bernardo as he broke down in tears after being subbed off to a standing ovation and deafening chants of his name.
Was good to see his team mates join in with the applause, including big Haaland.
@paulfeeney78 Yep, I knew all about Lloyds but didn't think the nightlife focus had spread to standard Wetherspoons pubs.
I'd imagine that particular pub you worked in would be lively to say the least. Am sure you've got a few tales to tell
Popped into the Moon Under Water Wetherspoons in Manchester city centre after the Man City - Aston Villa game for a quick drink and bite to eat and thought I had entered into an alternate universe as there was a full-blown f*cking disco on the go!
Even more surprisingly, they were playing some 80s bangers, though the classic Talking Heads tune "Slippery People" sadly emptied the floor.
I may be well behind the times but I thought 'Spoons had a strict no-music policy? Is this a new thingy?
@AndyBorland4 Exactly. It might not be a traditional"disco" tune but it is eminently danceable. You'd have thought that the DJ had put on a Daniel O'Donnell track such was the speed which the dance floor emptied.
A wee montage of Daizen Maeda 前田 大然 clips from today's Celtic - Dunfermline Scottish Cup Final game for your pleasure, including hugs from Fozzy & Kasper and the two arigato banners.
It's likely that Celtic fans will never let torn-faced Derek McInnes forget this season - what with his sectarian singing footage re-emerging, the "disgusting" quote and his all-round general hunnery.
Here's a rather amusing Green Brigade banner, on display at today's Scottish Cup Final against Dunfermline, in reference to Hearts' league capitulation.
No, your eyes aren't deceiving you - Benji Nygren really is giving Saracchi a head massage following today's Celtic - Dunfermline Scottish Cup Final, whilst Engels looks on in disbelief.
The YT clip (link below) has a few other funny moments from the game, including CCV scattering golden ticker-tape over Reo plus Tounekti doing a traditional Tunisian folk dance.
