1971: Alex Rosner designs the first DJ mixer. The mixer, that Rosner called Rosie, was developed specifically for the Haven Club. Alex Rosner's Rosie DJ mixer gave the DJ the ability to mix two turntables for the first time. The mixer had a microphone input and a headphone output, all controllable by the DJ. #fbf
But is there a combo pack both shirts available?
Or perhaps "theater adult" on the front, "child of divorce" on the back?
I have too many friends who are both, and I just think it would help us all if they were labeled.
What's one of the warning signs of ovarian cysts?
Pain in the middle of your cycle.
If the first gyno I had gone to had listened to me and prescribed me BC then, maybe I could have avoided that whole ordeal.
I had this happen to me as well! At 14, was told that that pain wasn't possible.
A few months later, I end up in the emergency room for (what we believed) was appendicitis.
Turns out, I had ovarian cysts and one had burst.
Being goth and being trans are comparable, sometimes, such as:
- "things I was told I'd grow out of"
- "things I was told would make me unhirable"
- "things that are still true about me years later"
- "things that are completely compatible with having a happy life"
But I lived in downtown toronto, so. There were constantly raccoons on the fire escape, and while I love raccoons, I didnt really want one in my apartment.
Also? No range hood or any sort of ventilation for the oven & stove.
This reminds me of the fact that my last apartment (in the largest city in the country, 4th largest in the continent) had...zero (0) openable windows. But my rent was higher then other units in the same building, because I had two doors to the unit (front door & fire escape door)
the push for windowless apartments is especially funny ha ha in the middle of a pandemic where air flow is vitally fucking important, this is the same goddamn reason tenements were required by law to have "tuberculosis windows" after awhile
I say "zero openable windows", because it did, in fact, have one window. But it had an A/C unit in it, and it had been caulked into place, so the unit didn't come out.
If I wanted fresh air in my apartment, my only option was to turn on the A/C, or open the back door.
@OsoCuteClub@TeraTigerStudio Oh! I hadnt heard about any of that. I'm so sad, I had been trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but this really sucks.
Has anyone heard anything from @TeraTigerStudio in the past few months?? I ordered something from their store in January of 2022, we emailed a few times about the fact it never was delivered, and then I stopped hearing from them. I still dont have my order from them.
when I was 11 I was bullied by an angry jazz instructor into picking up a trombone and many years later I got this job because the manager thought it was hysterical that I would include that on my CV, so the lesson here is that there is no lesson and the world is chaos
But as in the case of the tweet at the top of this thread. Those policys means Nothing if they are changed on a Whim. Why would the change a procedure in the middle of dealing with a contract that would be effected by it? Because they dont care. It sucks.
This entire thread is full of examples of the disgusting way people in theater are treated, especially younger/newer to the industry folk who are taken advantage of because they may not know if/how to ask for things.
This is just a heinous thing to do to someone tho.
Not to mention how many of these problems could have been solved by having a well documented list of procedures for things like needing to miss a show or grievance leave or whatnot. If there is a policy in place, then no one is making assumptions or has to figure it out last min
