If a young man from Africa can recite the Qur’an with such sweetness, imagine how the noble Companions of the Prophet ﷺ, who lived with him, heard the Qur’an directly from him, and witnessed its revelation, must have recited it. 🥹❤️
“Stand straight, straighten your rows, close the gaps, and align yourselves…”
Then begins Surah Al-Fatihah, and the voice of Sheikh Al-Shuraim fills the air with such deep humility and devotion that it touches the heart even before reaching the ears.
How magnificent is this beautifully melodious recitation from his historic years, when his sweet voice echoed through the sacred precincts of the House of Allah.
A recitation that carries its own awe and majesty, accompanied by cherished memories and a nostalgia that will never be forgotten.

A Saudi security officer created a moment for a young girl from Turkey that she will never forget for the rest of her life.
He helped her offer a greeting (salam) to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his two companions, Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), at the Prophet’s Mosque, and taught her the words to use for the greeting.♥️

Khateeb of Masjid Al-Haram, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais:
“Through modern communication platforms, those who are deeply concerned for the sanctity of the holy sites condemn and denounce the criminal Houthi attacks targeting Makkah, Madinah, and civilian facilities, as these attacks constitute a provocation to the sentiments of Muslims.
They reaffirm that the sanctity of the Two Holy Mosques is a red line that must never be crossed.”
Khateeb of Masjid Al-Haram, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais:
“On social media, we find practices that undermine relationships within society, such as attacking people’s reputations, honour, intellect, and wealth. Among the dangers we must beware of are fraudulent platforms that impersonate legitimate entities and fake websites.”
Khateeb of Masjid Al-Haram, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais:
“The responsibility of one’s words is immense, for words are a double-edged sword. How many a word has, as it were, warned its speaker: ‘Leave me unspoken!’
Indeed, a person will be held accountable for everything they write, say, or repost.
Allah Almighty says: ‘Not a word does a person utter without having a vigilant observer ready to record it.’ (Qur’an 50:18)”
Khateeb of Masjid Al-Haram, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais:
“Exercise the utmost caution against reposting fabricated images and video clips or content falsely attributed to individuals, as doing so spreads falsehoods and creates confusion and discord among people.”
We have this flawed mentality of dismissing depression in the North, especially within our own households and communities.
Someone can be going through the worst period of their life, only for it to be reduced to “low iman” or something similar. It’s really saddening.
The real heartbreak will be when you come to the day of Qiyamah with tons of good deeds, but they’re blown into dust, bc of Riyah (show off).
Whatever you intend to do, big or small, do it with ikhlas.
- put in on your mind that you’re doing it fisabilillah.
