I totally support the idea of avoiding broken people. Especially those who project their hurt on others. This doesn't mean they shouldn't be accommodated, but they should allowed to heal before being committed to. An unheal person is toxic and that's not good for your mental health.

It does absolutely nothing to the dead. I'd say it is the living trying to ensure they create a good last memory of the dead. Nothing is wrong with that but when a befitting funeral or bury threatens the existence of the living, then the entire idea is faulty and needless.
