Sandie Peggie has been granted leave to appeal on 13 grounds in her employment tribunal case against NHS Fife.
Judge James Tayler of the Employment Appeal Tribunal found there are reasonable grounds for the challenge to proceed to a full hearing (expected in the first half of 2027).
This is a significant step forward after the December 2025 judgement that upheld only some of her harassment claims while dismissing others (including all claims against Dr Upton).
Sandie has shown incredible courage standing up for single-sex spaces and the rights of women in the workplace. Well done to her and her brilliant legal team. The fight continues and justice is moving forward.
I look forward to returning to Dundee to cheer Sandie on and to delicious snacks from Fisher & Donaldson.

Today, I saw a Palestinian child picking up the brain of another Palestinian child.

Yes the actual brain.

He used a small rag to pick it up.

I also saw an infant ejected from his mother’s womb, due to the sheer power of the explosives Israel used in Gaza last night.

But the most inhumane thing was witnessing someone open up a baby’s soft pink onesie - only to discover pieces of bones and diaper inside.

Israel evaporated her little body with chemical weapons that are internationally banned.

The argument made by the copper here – that police don't get to choose which laws to enforce and which ones not to – is complete nonsense.

Police make an active decision not to storm Glastonbury and arrest everyone in possession of cannabis, as they know it would be a disproportionate use of their time and resources.

They choose not to throw all their resources at tracking down bike thieves in London, as they know there are more serious crimes they should prioritise.

They choose not to throw all their resources into enforcing the hosepipe ban, as they know it would be disproportionate and ineffective.

They could also make a decision not to have 50+ officers forcibly arresting old age pensioners for holding up signs.
