The problem with thinking like this is that our country is the one committing these crimes despite the fact we don't see them - out of sight, out of mind doesn't work when it's your guns and your money.

If you rate them according to devastation - if you triage - US crimes abroad are far more deadly and have a more profoundly devastating impact on everything around us.
And we DO see the results of them in front of our faces. We see them in the racist rhetoric against immigrants on our televisions and in our chat feeds. We see them in the ICE raids. We see them in the poverty and crumbling infrastructure around all of us that there is no money to fix because it's spent on imperialism and we see it in the drugs on our streets that the CIA runs to fund more of its crime sprees abroad. It's the reason our government is run as a mob instead of a democracy.

Martin Luther King Jr. eventually understood that you could not fix the US without ending Imperialism. It's not just solidarity, even though that would be enough of a reason, it's the interconnectedness of the suffering and destruction itself.
