How Eclipses Reverberate through the Year
Here is a graphical depiction of how the 2 Solar Eclipses which take place within the year "undulate" their influences into the Year and through the months:
Much can be conveyed within a single image
The black circle represents a Full Year of 365 days.
The red cross axises are those of the 2 Solar Eclipse regions, and their intermediary Eclipse Midpoints.
The Shaded bars are the regions of the Sun's position at which the Lunar Nodes are moving Direct (against their natural motion).
The White bar-regions are the Solar positions at which the Lunar Nodes are Retrograde in their normal course of motion.
Technical: Because the oscillation of the lunar nodes (back and forth) is a combined monthly influence of the Solar and Lunar positions, I've made this depiction to show its occurrence relative to the position of the changing Sun instead -so as to fit the individual monthly nodal motions cleanly into a complete and full Yearly cycle.
Direct and Rx Nodes
1. First thing to notice, is that as we approach the regions of the Solar Eclipse within the year, the nodes begin to spend more time in their direct course of motion (travelling against their normal Rx course); increasing towards upwards of 6 days of direct motion.
This antithetical direct-motion is more resistive and inhibiting for mundane events, along with delaying the progression of mundane developments through time.
in a sense, time doesn't progress forward during these periods, but rather, sinks deeper into the past trying to resolve imperfections in events, before moving forward in progress & perfection of events.
2.) The white regions are the portions of the nodal motion where their course proceeds forward (in normal rx motion), and likewise, mundane events/developments progress, perfect and come to completion through time.
in a sense, time is proceeding forward ,and life's-events are "blossoming and unfolding" through the progression of time/space.
We can see that these progressive periods within the year, are longest (13 days of normal rx nodal motion) near the Eclipse midpoints, and progressively decline in duration as we reach the Eclipses.
In general, about a quarter of the Year the Nodes are traveling against (direct) their natural flowing motion, while the remaining 3/4ths of the year the nodes are spent traveling in their normal retrograde motion.
this Nodal Motion can be likened to: "life" taking 3 steps forward and 1 step backwards every year and season.
This depiction is a rough approximation of what occurs in a year, and if we add up the days, we will find a total of 364 days; approximating a complete year with whole integers. In terms, of symmetry this approximation is the idealized Eclipse-Nodal cycle within the Year.
For Natal Charts, the Nodes are considerably stronger when Direct, and both Nodes take on an unusual potency. Whereas, when the Nodes traverse in their normal rx motion, we will find that one of the Nodes will come to dominate in influence while the other becomes subordinate.
Again, we can see the strong "standing-still" nature in the direct nodes, and the strong directional/moving and "time-tunneling" influence of the rx nodes.
There are a variety of Rules for determining how a natal chart nodal axis functions, but these will not be discussed here.
Overview:
For now, it is enough to know that as we approach the periods of Eclipses, time seems to extend deeper into the past, and unresolved events (this life and in previous lives) are brought to the surface for further purification and refinement -towards perfection (hence the buddhist view of karmas magnifying 10,000x around Eclipses).
When the Nodes are direct we are living "in the wake" of the Eclipse energies, as they Eclipse appears to "dissipate" its influence through direct nodal motion.
And when the Nodes are retrograde, we are living in the "new-ness" and exciting progressions of the Eclipse Midpoint influences.
Eclipse Cycles sweep away the old, worn out and imperfect karmas, providing a clean-slate for the transference of New Possibilities.
The Eclipse Midpoints present fresh-developmental energy, which fills the recently cleared and purified spaces from the Eclipse Cycles.
The 2 together create this expanding and contracting quality within "karmic-time;" through the Lunar Orbit and Nodal motion.
When the oscillation forwards and backwards is relatively even (as it is when the Sun is near the 45 degree region from the Nodes; i.e. midpoint between Eclipses and Eclipse-Midpoints), time and mundane events appears to stabilize and gain balanced-equilibrium.
Whereas, when the Sun is at the Eclipse or Eclipse Midpoint regions, time and mundane events become more chaotic, hap-hazardous, and unstable (as discovered by Carl Payne Tobey). This balance seems to be at the same 3/4's ratio.
In essence, these Nodal Fluctuations are "Moon Wobbles," and in this graphical form, they are easier to ascertain and conceptually grasp.

The concept of trines is based on the sign boundries themselves.
So if the Moon is in the process of changing signs it will give the impending trine influence at the sign change, not at the degree alignment.
Hope this helps 👍
