Happy #NationalTreeWeek🌳🌲 It's great to see social media so full of reasons why we should celebrate trees!
At Hayden's we'd happily celebrate tree week every week, and we're lucky to visit and survey trees as they change all year round 🍂🍁#NationalTreeWeek#trees
Did you know it's Mulberry season? 🌳Their fruit is sweet and juicy so make sure you're wearing dark clothes if you go out to pick them as they can leave a stain. #mulberries#seasonal#trees
Consultation: BS 5837 Trees in relation to design, demolition and construction "Code of practice"
-----------
British Standard BS 5837 Trees in relation to design, demolition and construction has been revised to reflect changes since 2012. A draft for public consultation has been published. To view the draft standard and make comments consultees should create an account at https://t.co/3b54CME9Tc.
The consultation shall last for 2 months with comments submitted visible on the BSI development portal.
BS 8545 Trees: from nursery to independence in the landscape was being developed when BS 5837 was last published in 2012. To reflect the comprehensive coverage of BS 8545 and to avoid duplication, tree planting design has been removed from BS 5837. Amendments to BS 8545 will therefore address this change with a draft for public consultation to be published soon.
------------
The consultation closes 16th October.
Anyone may submit individual feedback via the BSI website (you must log in): https://t.co/uj6pyUYyNV
The Arboricultural Association will submit a response.
Members are welcome to send any feedback to us while we formulate our comments. Please reference section numbering whenever your feedback relates to specific points in the drafted text.
Please send an e-mail to [email protected] by Friday 4th October.
Attendees of our 2024 Conference will also have the opportunity to engage in the revision process during two dedicated workshops.
We've been making the most of the longer, brighter days on site, here's some of our favourites for #TreeTuesday
