WARNING: Here be Gills stats...
@ridleycrag1@vince_bartram@SouthallNicky@Ashby1Barry That was such a nice day. A lot of midnight oil was burnt interviewing/transcribing/writing that book, while still doing the dayjob. Mrs P was so tolerant! And the finished product and 'signing day' meant every hour spent producing it was worth it.
@vince_bartram@SouthallNicky@Ashby1Barry I always wonder why the sky director cuts to you doing neck/shoulder stretches in the midst of the celebration shots at 3-2
Trying to confirm Sullivan Booth birthdate - if as stated online he's @TheGillsFC youngest goalscorer at 17yrs 106 days beating
Ashley Miller 17yrs 184d 2012 v Crewe
Jim Corbett 17y 221d 1998 v Fulham
Billy Hughes 17y 231d 1978 v Peterboro
What you reckon @Gills_Stats & all?
@Gills_Legends@TheGillsFC@Gills_Stats Sorry - I should have followed up the original thread at the time.
It's actually even earlier than that! He scored in the 2-2 v Swindon in march 1977 in just his 8th app aged 16 yrs 219 days - and that, i believe, is still a club record. (and, i feel old, I was there!!)
Stan Kroenke-owned teams...
LA Rams: Super Bowl champs 2021
Colorado Avalanche: Stanley Cup champs 2022
Denver Nuggets: NBA champs 2023
Arsenal Women: Champions League 2025
Arsenal: Premier League 2026
@RobBaker292@FOM_BLOG@Gills_Stats Looked at Joe Murphy (Tranmere GK retiring now at 44).
I see that 18 yr-old gk for Salford Matt Young faced him the other week - goalkeepers with a 26-year age-gap!
@gfclastwaltzer Agreed - like every other club, we need pace, creativity and energy in midfield. That and a big forward that knows where the goal is! Simples. Big summer ahead.
In view of the retained list, I find this an interesting stat. All bar GK staying?
Most pts per match (based on mins when player is on pitch)
1. McKenzie - 1.30
2. Gale - 1.29
3. A Smith - 1.28
4. Morris - 1.26
5. Coleman - 1.19
6. Dack - 1.17
7. Hutton - 1.16
8. Little - 1.15
@GillsInTheBlood I may be in a minority, but would have kept Max, even as cover, but overall I am not too sad about this cull. It's also an admission of failure in recruitment. The great thing is that this forgettable campaign is over and now hope springs eternal. Big summer reset. UTG ahead.

@MattP_Titan I'd say that, of the unretained player list, he's one I would not have minded if he had been kept on. I don't get the boo boys. One of the few who appeared to care. Had his bad days but there's a long list there! Careful what you wish for - the next lb needs to be an upgrade.
