One of the things my kids beg for each week is our scavenger hunt. Itβs so easy and a fun way to review curriculum during remote learning. We can review vocab, math skills, figurative language, whatever! It also gives me a peek into who each student is. So fun! @ClemmonsES
Today, during a brain break, I had a student, a 5th grade boy mind you, tell me his βelvesβ brought a letter from Santa. He then asked to read it aloud to me. Tears filled my eyes at the innocence in this baby. I love my job β€οΈπ
Yesterday was βMagic Mondayβ and I asked the kids what they would do if they have magic for one day. I loved their replies. These kids are something else π @ClemmonsES
We played a fun game today following a Wooly Mammoth Population. After collecting our data, we plotted and created a double line graph to compare our data! We managed to keep our population alive longer the second time, but still not quite long enough π @ClemmonsES
Today, three kids told me they loved school. After four weeks of virtual learning. Without their friends. It made my day β€οΈπ Tecahers- we can still make a difference!!

This has, without a doubt, been a crazy year. Probably my craziest ever. A year I will never forget. I feel bonded to these kids in a very different way than ever before. We went through a lot together.
This one hurts.

Today, my students were logged on for our Virtual End of Year party. They asked if this was our last meeting for the year. I told them yes. They asked if we could please meet over the summer. Iβm not sure they were ready to let go. I know I sure wasnβt.
During our virtual class read aloud yesterday, we read 4 chapters together. When we finished, the kids begged me to read more. Again I say, learning is still happening. It looks different. It feels different. It is different. But itβs happening. My students rock β€οΈπ @ClemmonsES
