Today, as COP29 begins in Baku, we pray for life in death, light in darkness and hope in despair. As creation groans, we cast our cares upon you, generous and faithful God. In the travails of Earth, let Godly hopes prevail.

Thanks to everyone who has been bringing hard to recycle items to St John’s Methodist Church. We collect contact lenses and packaging, batteries, old pens, pill packaging, toothbrushes, old fabric, a selection of old electronics and currencies.
We also collect glasses (spectacles) and I’ve just parcelled up 50 pairs to go to Lions Clubs International who send them to charities in Africa and the Philippines. Scrap is sold to benefit sight charities here and overseas.
