We had a brilliant day enjoying the sunshine, relaxing by the seaside and spending time together.

There’s something so calming about being beside the sea and listening to the waves🌊💙

🌿 Last Thursday, two of our volunteers braved the heat for a community litter pick, collecting three bags of rubbish!

Their efforts earned seven thank-yous and even a fruit selection box from appreciative residents. 🍎👏

On this day in 1939 the Admiralty commandeered Southend pier for the duration of WWII. Renamed HMS Leigh, the facility oversaw 3,367 convoys (84,000 vessels) in and outbound from the Thames estuary.
