Whoo boy. Shiny Happy People is something I’ll be processing for a while. While I wasn’t raised IBLP, so much of what is discussed about the systems at play rings true with my background.
It’s now been a year since I left academia, and I’m still unpacking the layers of trauma. Work now is much less meaningful but I make a living wage and I’m respected and valued. Good riddance.
@barlybonklin None of this is fair or ok. I’m still trying to sort through the years of trauma I’ve experienced at the hands of academia. The system is broken. If you ever need to vent, I’m here. ❤️
