Help Make My Scholarship Dream Come True 🙏
I'm Adisa Blessing Oluwafikayo, a First-Class Mathematics graduate (CGPA: 4.76/5.0) from UNILORIN.
I'm happy to have been awarded a fully funded Master's scholarship in Mathematics at the University of Calabria, Italy.
The night before I was leaving Nigeria for the first time, I went out to hang with my guys.Normal guys parole now
But for some reason, the entire night felt strange to me. I can’t even explain it properly.
Then around 2am, my mum randomly called me and said, “I don’t know why but I just felt like praying for you.”
At that exact moment, we were already heading home.
Few minutes later, on the express road, one trailer almost cleared our car completely.
When I say “almost,” I mean by seconds.
Everybody inside the car went silent immediately because it was THAT close.
But the part that stayed with me was not even the near accident.
It was the fact that my mum woke up from sleep at that exact time feeling uneasy enough to call me.
Till today, I still think about it because how do you explain things like that? 😂
The Lord has done it againnnn🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
The class is first and the scroll is red
IT IS A FIRST CLASS FROM THE NIGERIAN LAW SCHOOL
THANK YOU, JESUS. MO MO LORE OOO🥹🥹🥹❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Couldn’t think of a better soundtrack for my #1v1africa entry. 🎶⚽
Fullbacks shiver when they see me on the wing.
This is what I do in 1v1 situations- composure, creativity, confidence.

NIGERIANS, on the UI first-class matter, I have a very sincere question:
In a university, students who have 3.5+/4.0 qualify as first class.
If 40% of the students in a set do the work to maintain an average of 3.5+/4.0 at the point of their graduation,
They took every note, every point, every lecturer seriously enough and truly earned their marks.
What exactly should be done to their grades for your “steeped in abject dysfunctionality” mind to be appeased?
Should they be given fewer marks than they had earned?
Should they be randomly demoted to lesser ranks by the school’s senate?
Should some of their scripts tactically go missing, with zero explanations given?
What exact mediocrity-redistribution formula should be used to disqualify students who have given their all for their grades so that your sick mind can be placated?
GTFOH!
The same Nigerians will jump to the next tweet to complain about how Nigerian universities and lecturers hoard marks, miss scripts, and disqualify excellence.
But do they really care? No, they don’t. Trust their actions over their words.
They love the excuse to exist.
It gives succor. It anaesthetizes the hurt of decisions they cannot live with.
And any sign of its nonexistence must be protested at all costs.
When Adekunle Gold said that there is something about this place that drains your excellence, he couldn’t have been more right.
To be excellent in this nation is to rebel. To be made to feel inadequate in your success. To second-guess the gift now in your hands, a gift they so secretly desire for themselves and even their kids.
But envy must perform outrage. And you have to understand that. Stand proudly with what you have earned. It is an asset; flaunt it without shame.
Shame is the preserve of mediocrity, not excellence. And a society that doesn’t understand that is SICK! But we are rising above this.
“Mediocrity is loud here. Why should our EXCELLENCE be silent?”
Loud EXCELLENCE, that’s how we will fix this mess. We will place the PRESTIGE where it belongs.
Congratulations!
As a graduate of Chemistry, UI, with a Second Class honors (Upper division), I am actively looking for job/work opportunity after completing my NYSC last year (Nov., 2025)

My dad’s business has been slow, and it’s taking a toll on him. He complained to me last night and I don't know how else to help than this. He sells top-quality wood, planks, and plywood at Amu, Mushin. He’s basically your guy for building materials. Pls RT if you see this 🥹
